Hello there, and thank you for stopping by. I'm Lisa Martinez,managing director of Fairport Europe.

Joining Fairport in 2022 felt like a natural fit. The company's values align closely with my own, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead.

To me, yacht management is far more than coordinating yachts and operations—it's about building relationships, solving problems, and creating an environment where owners, captains and crew feel supported every step of the way. After more than 20 years in the industry, I still genuinely love what I do.

One of my proudest achievements has been building the Fairport Europe team. I firmly believe that company culture comes first. When you surround yourself with good people who genuinely enjoy working together, that positive energy naturally extends to our clients. We work hard, support one another, have fun along the way, and always go the extra mile to deliver the highest level of service.

I also believe in standing your ground, challenging the status quo when necessary, and never settling for "good enough." If something can be done better, we'll find a way. Holding professional yacht management qualifications reflects my commitment to continuous learning and ensuring our clients always receive the very best support.

My Past

I was born in the vibrant port city of Liverpool, England, into a family of Merchant Navy seafarers, so a love of the sea has always been part of who I am.

At 19, I travelled to Switzerland for what was meant to be a short summer to learn French and German. That adventure sparked a passion for travel, which led me to live in Corsica, the French West Indies and, ultimately, settle in the beautiful town of Antibes, I still call Liverpool home after all these years.

My yachting career began as an Engineering Assistant at a yacht chandlery with my drive , I established the company's Interior Department, building an extensive network of trusted local suppliers and gaining invaluable insight into the day-to-day realities of yacht operations. It was there that I discovered just how diverse, challenging and exciting the industry truly is.

Wanting to broaden my experience, I joined Camper & Nicholsons Yacht Management before moving to Hill Robinson. There, I managed a fleet of nine prestigious yachts, primarily over 120 metres, operating in Saudi Arabia, and was later promoted to Client Liaison Manager. These roles gave me extensive experience in owner relations, technical operations, crew management and the complexities of managing some of the world's largest and most demanding yachts.

My Future

As Fairport Europe continues to grow, my ambition is simple: to keep building a company that people genuinely enjoy being part of whether they are owners, captains, crew or members of our own team.

I don't believe in following the industry; I believe in challenging it. There is always a better way of doing things, and I'm passionate about finding practical, innovative solutions that improve the experience for both our clients and our team.

My goal is to continue raising the standard of yacht management by building lasting relationships, embracing new ideas and leading a team that is passionate, approachable and always willing to go the extra mile.

My Outside-office Life

Passionate about behavior analysis , psychology, personal development. My belief in energy and its effect on our health and well-being brought me to expand this knowledge and achieve Reiki certification. 

Couldn’t live without music and enjoy anything from Steely Dan to Gill Scott Heron to Drizabone.
